Natuera Inaugurates New Cultivation and Extraction Facility
Bogotá, Colombia. – 12 March 2020. Less than six months after breaking ground, NatuEra successfully completed the construction of its state-of-the-art, GMP-designed cultivation, extraction and processing facilities. With over 50 guests, including all company employees, members its Board of Directors and its founders, NatuEra celebrated its official opening and the commencement of its operational and commercial activities with an event held on 12 March 2020, in which it launched its corporate culture and conducted guided tours of the facility, located less than an hour away from Bogotá’s International Airport.
NatuEra is Elected to Asocolcanna Board of Directors
Bogota, Colombia.- 11 March 2020. During the third annual general assembly of Asocolcanna, Colombia’s leading medicinal cannabis trade association, NatuEra was elected to the Board of Directors for the 2020-2022 term. Following the general assembly, NatuEra participated in a public policy discussion with Colombia’s Minister of Justice and Law, the Director of Invima (Colombia’s Food & Drug Administration) and the Director of Medicine and Health Technologies of the Ministry of Health, among other government and industry thought leaders, which focused on driving the development of the industry. NatuEra Breaks Ground at Cultivation and Extraction Site
Bogota, Colombia.- 02 October 2019. Following the receipt of all applicable licenses and permits, NatuEra broke ground to mark the start of the construction of its GMP-designed hemp and cannabis cultivation and extraction facilities in El Rosal, Cundinamarca. Strategically located 13 km from Bogotá, less than one hour away from El Dorado Airport, the facilities are projected to include over 270.000 square feet of cultivation area, as well as post-harvest, extraction, processing plant and administrative offices. El Rosal is located in the fertile lands of Bogotá savanna, with natural conditiond ideally suited for sustainble sungrown hemp and cannabis.
NatuEra Receives License to Cultivate Psychoactive Cannabis
Bogota, Colombia. – 09 May 2019. In March 2019, NatuEra, The Cronos Group’s joint venture Contract Manufacturing Organization,received a license from the Colombian Ministry of Justice and Law to cultivate psychoactive cannabis for the production of seeds for cultivation, the production of grain, and the manufacture of derivative products. NatuEra intends to develop, cultivate, manufacture and export cannabis-based medical and consumer products for the Latin American and global markets. NatuEra is the cannabis industry’s first Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) in Latin America; it plans to allow the growing number of cannabis brands to outsource cultivation and manufacturing.
